Here's a short video with some good info on the American flag put out by the American Legion, of which I am an Officer in the local post.
I wrote a couple of posts last year about my adopted home-town of Enterprise, Alabama being nominated and making the Top 7 in "Most Patriotic Cities" - here and here. This ties in with those and the 4th of July coming up in a few short months. Time to get'cha flags ready!
Back when I was in College, a friend of mine got a job as a flag salesman. I went with him on several sales calls and some speeches to Civic Clubs. This helped me to grow a bigger appreciation for the symbolism of not only the country's flag, but flags in general thru-out history.
