The Most Beautiful Allergy Causers

This Spring has been a rather wild one in the northern states, and it has been a bit unusual in Central Florida.  We have had colder weather and lots of rain.  But then the sun comes out and warms things up a bit and . . . the sneezing starts.  This morning I decided to take a deep breath and take some pictures of the beautiful causers of my allergies.

Has been an interesting season in Florida for sure. Hot, cold, hot cold all winter. Blooming then not. Lots of sneezing going on.

Hi Mary Kay and Chris,

Great pictures and yes they do cause allergies but sometimes it is worth it to have beautiful flowers in the yard.

Hi Bill, It has been a very sneezy season! Patricia - I agree that it is worth the sneezes. Also, no matter how thick the pollen gets, we don't have to shovel it. :)

Hi Kristin - We can't have enough color in our lives--so flowers are a must on our property!

Hi Debbie - Alavert is the medicine of choice for us.  Thank goodness we can give it up during grapefruit-eating season (picked from our own tree).  :)

Hi Tony and Darcy - Yes, it is hard to stay mad for long, especially when I am the one who keeps planting them.  :)  One other that smells wonderful but doesn't photograph too spectacularly is the jasmine.

Hi Roy - No, I haven't ventured into the world of Pinterest . . . just saw a post about it mentioning you, however.  I will have to look into that one.  :)
