When the weather is 70 degrees on a spring Rhode Island day, the locals come out in hordes to their favorite water spots. And I do not mean drinking holes! No here in RI one of our favorite locations is Narragansett Pier leading to Narragansett beach.

A mile boardwalk path lines the magnificent Atlantic Ocean here and our 'infamous' beach we like to keep to ourselves...but unfortunately the word has gotten out...it is the place to be.

Once where the elite in society from the Vanderbilts and Rockefellers came to gamble at the Narragansett Casino before Newport RI was in its heyday. This is still the place to stroll, people watch, watch surfers and enjoy a sandy beach walk in this waterfront RI real estate location. For without it could you really call us the Ocean State?

Narragansett Pier and Narragansett Beach is Where I Like to Be on any day! I am true blue to this town as the first town I ever lived in when I went to college in Rhody RI.

Narragansett Pier and Narragansett Beach are indeed a sight for sore eyes to this ol' desert rat. We noticed yesterday that the mighty Rio Grande is actually bone dry in a lot of areas. In dire need of moisture here!
