Never too small for home staging

My most recent job proves no house is too small for staging. I got a call from a real-estate broker, investor who flips houses on the side. He was just completing a modest house he was flipping and wanted to try staging as the house was vacant. He was concerned, however, that because the house was small, just under 1000 square feet, he didn't want to fill the rooms up with furniture making the rooms look ever smaller. I agreed then lightly staged the home giving purpose to key rooms, and think it came out very well. This little plain-Jane home now has some color and personality

I agree. Staging a small place helps sell the property in most cases. Buyers can actually visualize what can be done with the small space. Walkinginto a tiny space without any kind of furnishings may scare a buyer but if they can visualize their stuff inside it can help for a good sell!

Jill,

You're right, staging for the size of the home is very important and works. Great job on this house.

Yes, I agree with both of you. The agent was concerned I was going to fill the home with large bulky furniture, he was imagining more flourishes like an artificial plants and light decorating. When I said people need to that a table and chairs do fit in the eating area and a bed does fit on that wall etc. He was surprised and pleased with the results.
