Central Texas is exploding as usual and for that we are grateful as Realtors. According to the Austin Business Journal and the Austin American Statesman, there are 110 people moving to Austin proper (what we call Central Texas) a day - thats right... a day.
The surrounding cities which use to be considered bedroom communities or suburbs are all feeling the growing pains because even though there are different and uniques cities - we have all grown together so that when you leave one city, you don't really realize you are in another city.
Today, we are going to talk about Hutto, Tx. This quaint 3 light town is experiencing mighty growth and has been in the news of late with Tesla Motors considering it a town to build their next plant. This move will bring 6,500 jobs to the area. With that said, I started doing some research on the growth now and what is going to happen in the future.
Let's take a look at the school situation - in 2013-2014 - there are 5,952 students. In 2018 -2019, there is to be an estimated 7,619 students and in 10 years, numbers say 9,774 students.
That is alot of students and families. I knew when Lowes, Home Depot, Sonic, Scott & White, YMCA, Holiday Inn, Chilis and many more businesses moved it, we better get ready to hold on to our hats.
So, when moving to this area, consider Hutto. It still has that small town feel where Friday Night Football at the High School rules and most people wave at each other on the streets. Howdy ya'll.
