Buying a Home Next to the Best Shopping in Las Vegas

Some of the best shopping in the World is right on the Las Vegas Strip where we have pretty much every designer store within walking distance.  If your looking for Christian Louboutin (2 Stores), Versace, Gucci, Louis Vuitton (3 stores) and my personal favorite Apple (3 Stores) - they are all right there.

I remember when first moving to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, the first thing that struck me was how small the city really is.  Even though there are over 2 million people here, Las Vegas somehow felt like a small city with a bunch of billion dollar casinos on one street.  The advantage of being 'small'  is that, unlike LA, the traffic is pretty manageable.  Even at rush hour, you can get to the Strip in about 35-40 minutes from most parts of the city.  So, even if you were considering buying a home in  Henderson, you're still only 30 minutes away from this amazing shopping.


Homes Near Shopping on the Strip

For some, however, even that amount of traffic is too much.  If that is true for you,  consider buying a High Rise property on the strip.  That way you can have the best of both worlds.  Some units are surprisingly inexpensive.  Here are some examples of Strip High Rise condos that are under $300,000.  Imagine walking to the fantastic shopping, enjoying a world class dinner and then just taking an elevator to one of the best views around.

Crystals at City Center 
Forum Shops at Caesars Palace
Grand Canal Shops at Venetian/Palazzo
Fashion Show
Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood
Wynn and Encore Shops

However, if living on the strip is not an option - and you still want shopping close by, there are two great options in Las Vegas - Green Valley Ranch and Summerlin.


Homes Near Shopping in Green Valley Ranch

In Green Valley Ranch you are close to The District at Green Valley Ranch and Town Square.  They aren't the biggest shopping areas, but they are both some of the most fun.  Located next go Green Valley Ranch Casino on the Southeast side of town, The District includes everything from Whole Foods, William Sonoma, Coldwater Creek, West Elm, JoS. A Banks and lots of dining options.  About 15 minutes from Green Valley Ranch and closer to the McCarran International Airport is Town Square Las Vegas.  Town Square include Bebe, A/X Armani Exchange, Juicy Couture, MAC, Apple and some great nightlife spots including Blue Martini and Stoney's Rockin County (for the country music lovers).

If you are thinking about buying a home in Green Valley, feel comfortable in knowing that you are close to some great shopping. Other areas close to these two shopping centers are Homes in Seven Hills, Homes in Anthem and Homes in MacDonald Highlands.


Homes Near Shopping in Summerlin

Another option to be close to shopping is Summerlin.  Summerlin is on the West side of Las Vegas and if you buy a home in Summerlin, you would be close to Boca Park and Tivoli Village.  You will also could be close to the The Shops at Summerlin.  The exciting aspect of The Shops is that for a long time this project was on hold by the developer and now they are finally about ready to open. Also, it will not just be a mall, but rather a "planned urban center" with over 125 shops, office space, entertainment and multi family residences - all in a walkable setting in the heart of Summerlin.

If you love the idea of High Rise living, but just don't want to live on the strip, then consider buying a Summerlin High Rise Condo at Queensridge.  It just may be the finest condo tower in all of Las Vegas.  It also happens to be across the street from Tivoli Village as both were built by the same developer.
