Small world. I know that realtor! And, I know that house!

This afternoon, I met with a nice customer about some carpet for a playroom.

 

While I was working on the estimate and figuring out the carpet cuts, they were going through the mail and got one of those "just listed" cards.  It was one of their neighbor's homes, so they said, "Oh that's what they think they can sell it for."  (They were not criticizing the price at all; it was simply giving them an idea of what their home might be worth).

 

So, I said, "cool." "Can I see the card?"  I was just curious to see which realtor it was.  And, as luck would have it, it was someone I knew and I've done a few jobs for a few of her clients.  I told them that she was a great real estate agent (because she is...not because she has referred biz my way). 

 

Then, I turned the card over and looked at the house.  Hmmm.  It looked familiar.  And, that's because I had been there a few months ago.  We helped their neighbor with the carpet.  (It was a rental and they had a flood and needed to replace the carpet).  Then, the mother-in-law came in and said, LOL, that's so funny, I was going to guess that since I saw them installing the carpet.

Small world.  I then called the agent to congratulate her on her new listing.
