FAITH IN WHAT WE DON'T SEE
Many people do not understand what Faith is. But we all exercise faith everyday. When we flip a switch on the wall, lights come on. We do not ever see the electricity but we have faith lights will come on when the switch is flipped.
We can walk into a room we have never been in before and find a chair we have never seen anyone sit in and we will sit down on the chair. We have faith that the chair will hold us and not collapse.
It is faith that takes us down the road to success. We don't always see how a task can be completed, but when we have faith in the unseen we can do what may have even been declared by some as impossible.
"The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.
By faith, we see the world called into existence by God's Word, what we see created by what we don't see". (The Message, pg 476)
An old saying is, Seeing is believing. But, believing in what is not seen is Faith.
So Faith In What We Don't See, is a powerful force that will change our lives.
The Message of Easter is not that Jesus died, but that He was raised to life. That gives us HOPE and builds our Faith.
