Put Off Procrastinating…Start Tomorrow!

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Don Sabinske, Sabinske & Associates Inc. 539MN

Put Off Procrastinating…Start Tomorrow!  While that is a joke, let's get serious.

Monday is a fresh start for most realtors, actually for most everyone.  And If you are like most of us, you still have work from last week or the weekend to complete.

Are these some of your thoughts”  Then you could be a Procrastinator!   if:

You never want to attempt something without analyzing it from all angles.

You never want to move too quickly in case you can find any easier way to do it or delegate it to someone else who won't complain.

You never want to decide what to do because you might change your mind about the decision.

And, you may need to get more information, and technology could be just around the corner to assist with that.

Get off your duff.  Fear is the deciding factor.  Admit it.  You need to get moving....in any direction.

Just make the commitment to do something.  Do two or three things each day that you don't want to do....and do them early in the day.  Get it over with and you can move on to more pleasant things

Tell everyone either your family or colleagues what you are going to do and when you will do it.

Then write it in your calendar with a commitment date of completion.  When it is finished, check it off in RED INK.  And then keep track of those onerous tasks you completed and give yourself a reward after five are done.

As Ben Franklin put it, one today is worth two tomorrows, never leave that til tomorrow which you CAN do today!

Inspiring post Don. I need to start this tomorrow, there are things that can be done at anytime. Not just the things that I want to do, which seems to rise to the top by choice.  :)

You are so right.  If you get what you don't want to do done FIRST, it really makes a difference.  :)  Save the best for the last!!

Have a blessed Easter Don.

Monday is my favorite day of the week. However, this Monday I AM starting with some leftover work. I spent ALL day yesterday wrestling with a Wordpress problem when I should have been getting things done. And today... I'd better go get at cooking company dinner.

I learned a long time ago to write down my goals and objectives.  I used to have a Daytimer, now it's a piece of paper on the desk and a white board on the wall.  It is so encouraging to draw a red line through an accomplished task!

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow.

Sadly, this seems to be a motto for many many people.
