It really helps to be beautiful and in a red dress, that always catches attention Kathleen. But that is not all you do, you are someone who connects people and is having fun. I love following you on FB and Linkedin and all the places you post. You are certainly one of the best at this. Congrats.
Love the picture. I think the key to social media success (which I've had a lot of) is to be real, be informative, interact, and BE YOURSELF. Very good blog.
Good for you! It's good to be approachable and provide information in a conversational way. Ask a question in socail media and see what answers you get!
Good info, Kathleen (and GREAT pic, too!) We get a LOT of business from social media, particularly Facebook. We've had some success with Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn, but not as much as FB. Bottom line is, have a plan and work it, and if something doesn't work, adjust the plan accordingly!
Hmmm. So here I am, a more serious type of person, and I haven't looked that good in a red dress in decades I love this line of work, and have no problem being authentic. But I guess I need to send you an invite to connect, because apparently, I need a primer on how to be more "fun!"
Kathleen,
I havent had as much luck with social media... however I don't look as good in a red dress. (wink)
Kathleen,
Getting our names in front of people and building their confidence and trust when we promptly and accurately respond to their inquiries is a great way to enhance our social media presence and attract clients. I am starting to make this more of a priority. Thanks for sharing.
How many hours do you spend managing your FB activities, daily, weekly and do you employ a VA or TPA to produce your content? Could you estimate your ROI, income to FB hours? Thank you so much for your information.
I agree with the questions of Kimo ^above.
I have spent quite a few hours/days trying to get response out of FB to not much avail. Suggestions?
I've only had one lead from fb, and that petered out quickly. I post fairly regularly and even tried CityScape. Maybe need to kick it up a notch.
Kathleen - Yes you need to be yourself, and the information you provide is critical. You also need to be consistent in order to have any success online.
Kathleen - I think, you can get some business from social media, if you have the right business plan.
Sometimes the "leads" are not in the form of direct buyers and sellers. Often times I get referrals from other agents that know me because of Facebook or people that know of someone looking to buy or sell that has expressed needing some help. You never know what post will make them direct those people to you, but keeping a fun mix in your social media will ensure someone will be thinking of you down the road in their time of need.
Kathleen, Social Media is a part of the overall plan. It helps us to be on the front of people's minds when they do have a Real Estate need. It also helps others in the profession to get to know us to the point they can make a referral.
Glad to hear you are getting business from social media. I am working to be more consistant in my posts and to try and build online relationships. To just generally post now and then, does not bring in leads.
Very good post, thank you for sharing. Consistency is a good factor to getting leads from your media.
Have a Blessed day
If you have fun doing it, I have found it to work out great! The thing is, I would probably be on there anyways!
Hi Kathleen~ I believe social media is another tool that keeps us connected.
