Does anyone have any tricks they use to get listings? I could share some of mine.
1) I've only been in the business for 6 years, so I've always used the President of the companys experience and say that, "as a team we have 48 years of experience."
2) I look at "big" listings and feel the competition is going to be less in getting them since most people figure the "big realtors" are going to get them. I've proven this is always so. It's like a quote I read the other day, "Shoot for the moon. If you miss you'll still be hanging with the stars." Meaning, if you aim for something high-- even if you don't reach that- the second one down isn't that bad. But if you shoot for mediocre that is as good as you'll get.
3) I always set up an appointment to see the home and meet the owner before letting them know I would like to list their home. I simply ask if I can preview their home for any potential clients. I have almost never been turned down-- But when I first started- and asked people if they were looking for a new realtor- I almost always got turned down. It's always better to build a relationship first.
What are your tricks?
