As a local Realtor I understand the need especially for those relocating or new to the area to be informed of local events and Panoply is a yearly favorite that you shouldn't miss.
Panoply Arts Festival begins today, Friday 25th, 2014 in Big Spring Park Huntsville, Alabama and runs through April 27th. Business prevented me from attending the opening and providing you with some of the fun and festivities, however I do plan to make it there over the weekend to bring you a few photos of the event.
Panoply is about the Arts, dance, music and offering kids activities, food vendors and international performances providing learning experiences for all. The Panoply Art Marketplace exhibits disciplines in photography, clay, printmaking, wood working, bonsai and much more. The Performance Stages showcase many local area bands. Check out "Arts In Action" where you can try your hand at creating your own work of art.

Friday, April 25 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 27 from 12:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $10 at the event and kids under 12 get in free.
There's plenty of parking available at city lots and the fee should all be $5. Also important to note is that pets are not allowed at the park with the exception of service animals.
