Home Again…...

I came in early yesterday afternoon and the flight and crew were great.....and then I saw my bag. It was ripped, handle out, broken and non functioning. I went to the baggage complaint department but they said essentially, it was not their problem but gave me a number to call. After a four hour ride home, I took pictures and called the number I was given, and was advised that I needed to file a report online, which I did.

I was exhausted and had only hours to report the damage. It was raining in Paris yesterday and I watched the baggage guys toss and generally abuse the luggage. I flew in Business class so I thought I would be OK. I was wrong. All that said, I am not going to let this ruin my trip or what I have felt and learned. I will make this better, or not but soon I will have my three pups back and my life is good.

Sorry to hear your great trip to Paris had such a "sad" ending. I've travelled enough to know that I almost expect luggage problems--that's why I never purchase expensive luggage anymore. (By the way, it rains in Paris all the time, when I lived there I never left the house without an umbrella!) Welcome home!

Sheila, There is no need to be so hard on the luggage. I think they should pay for the extreme abuse.

Hello Sheila: That is the spirit and right attitude. You can replace the luggage. It is a material thing although it is still disappointing to see it get ruined.

The pups must be so delighted to see you back. Welcome home.

Good morning friends and thank you for stopping by and leaving your comments and offering your support: I really appreciate it.

Hello Nina. I always have an umbrella when traveling but didn't need it in Paris until yesterday. My luggage wasn't expensive but not cheap either and it worked for me. I'll live...thank you.

Hi Debbie. I think so too but we'll see. Whatever happens I will blog the results. Thank you.

Hello Maria. I am on my way to get the pups now and really psyched. The other thing is just stuff: thank you.

Hi Ron. Your comment made me laugh. Like most other things there will soon be just a few airlines left. Enjoy the day.

Sheila~ In the grand scheme of things, a damaged bag is small potatoes. Like you said, you had a great trip and you'll be with your sweet pups soon. Life IS good. You can always buy a new bag!

I'm behind on reading about your trip. I need to get caught up!

Glad you made it home safely, know your pups were so happy to see you and yeah, while it is just stuff, it is beyond anoying when people who are hired to do one thing and one thing only, cannot do their jobs without damaging other people's property.
