Get caught? Its easy!

Have you gotten caught up in all the bad news?

The Sky is Falling! Haven't you heard???

Yeah, yeah... we know. Real estate stinks, the mortgage market is dead and life as we know it is over.

Come on! Yes, we are facing a decline in real estate, but a lot of that is due to crazy increases in property values over the past few years! We knew it was coming...

But despite all the bad press, there is some good news! Feb home sales (at least in the Charlotte market) were up last month! Mortgage rates are still near record lows! FHA mortgage limits are up virtually EVERYWHERE!

Now is one of the best times to buy. If you are on the fence, make your move. If you are in the business, get your chin up and let your clients know that real estate and mortgages are doing quite well and there's major opportunity.

Sure, there are dark clouds and in some areas it's raining. But coming from an area that has seen incredible drought over the past year, that rain is not a bad thing!

Don't forget we are going to run out of oil, water, and probably air. I think I'll practice holding my breath.

Ed. That was a great post. If none of us read the paper, watch the news and don't listen to negative stuff from our friends, we would be alot better off. Royal..

Great post! I love to look on the bright side of things.  Yes, maybe the market is great right now, but it's not the worst thing in the world either.  Thanks for the positive view on things!

Take California, Ohio, and Florida out of the picture and everything looks great.  There is no such thing as a "National Real Estate Market."

You are right about this Ed, our area has seen an increase in sales and a decrease in homes going on the market since the first of the year.  Having been around through a few up and down cycles - it all works out somehow. You just have to keep focused on the next thing to do and do it.

You don't have to look hard to find someone reporting how horrible the real estate market is, but most people don't take the time to find out what their local market is like. Just because things are bad nationwide, doesn't mean things are bad here.
