Book Recommendation: Roosevelt’s Beast by Louis Bayard
I just finished reading Roosevelt’s Beast (2014) by Louis Bayard. This novel is based on Theodore Roosevelt’s expedition to explore the Brazil’s Rio da Duvida, the River of Doubt in wilds of the Amazon. This is easy reading that should not be taken as historical facts.
My advice is to read the true story first as told in The River of Doubt (2005) by Candice Millard. Dolores suggested this true story of Theodore Roosevelt’s harrowing exploration of one of the most dangerous rivers on earth. This book reads like a novel and I think you will enjoy this adventure in the Amazon.
