This is a great place to start if your yard or neighborhood can't support a garden. And, some of these plots are used to make money at the local farmer's market, too.
I have planting plans for later this week as soon as this weather system is here and gone... if it doesn't blow my seeds away that is.
Winds are so wicked in the Albuquerque Debbie has bought a lot of her plants but has not gotten them in the dirt yet. She says by the 2nd week of May the winds will be gone. I just dig when told.
It's great your community does this...so does Cedaredge. My town also has a community garden and I think it's wonderful for people to get together.
Florida looks like it will be the next state to legalize and we are seeing farm land being a hot commodity lately.
The meeting was very well attended. And, I know that the folks who will be tending those plots are very grateful.
I wish we had this program in Zimmerman. So many people who live on those small lots in town could sure use it.
