New Cowboys Coach - What do you think?

By

So, we have another new Dallas Cowboys coach, Wade Phillips.  This is the 6th coach since Tom Laundry.  I tired of the revolving door of coaches and I wish Jerry Jones could find a coach and stick with one for awhile.  But with all that said, what does everyone think of Wade Phillips??  I want to know what to expect when I'm sitting at the games next year.

I know Phillips has had head coaching stops in New Orleans, Denver, Buffalo and Atlanta but is winless in three career playoff games.

Any thoughts?

I'm sorry.  I just want Tom Landry and my Cowboys back.  (sob!)

Don't know much about Wade Phillips, but you've stimulated me to go  find out!

I am not too convinced of wade phillips abilities, he is a great coordinator but as a coach he has been mediocre. Like Marty Schotenineimer he has had NO successful in the playoffs. Bad move by the cowboys.

Eddy,

You hit the nail on the head.  Some great coordinators can't seem to get both ends of the game right and Wade is going to have a hard time following a legend.

By the way, did anybody else miss the Pro Bowl yesterday because they assumed it would be played on a Sunday?  Geez.

Rick it has been said that wade phillips is a "players cpach" but all that means is that he is a pushover. If they bring back that clown TO its going to be a nightmare.

The Pro Bowl was boring Drew Brees got hurt!!!!!

I hate to say this but I think Phillips will be more of a puppet then a head coach, and Jones will be pulling the strings. We have seen this act before with Jones and the Cowboys, so I guess you got the answer, it won't be good in the long term.

Eddy I agreed with you.  I'm not sure how a "nice" guy is going to handle the spectacle that is T.O.

And David you are right that Jerry Jones controls too much of the coaching.  That hasn't worked for him in several years.  If Jerry didn't own the team, someone would have fired him long ago as the general manager.

Linda i am glad you recognize that TO is nothing but a selfish clown. I think Dallas is going to be his last chance in the NFL. When he was a free agent before signing with Dallas nobody else was interested.

T.O. has been a complete bust in my mind.  As a season ticket holder, I'm tired of sitting in the stands and watching him drop balls.  He isn't worth the price tag.

Linda I agree with you, T.O is not worth all the issues he brings to the team. He did have a hand injury so maybe next year he will hold on to the ball. Still don't want him o my team, you guys can keep him.

David and Linda ---- I agree with the both of you. The cowboys should just cut their losses and cut him. THey need someone young who wants to play. TO wants the attention but doesnt want to play.
