Warning: It’s time to get out of your way!

By
Education & Training with Market Leader

What are you doing that holds you back? If you're like the rest of us, you’re doing something. Somehow you’re limiting your personal or professional success.

The good news? You can learn how to get past yourself in a webinar this Wednesday, April 30th. How to get out of your own way - and succeed.

stressed real estate agentA couple weeks ago, we asked the ActiveRain community about what you avoid doing even though it might help you. Last week at Market Leader, we asked our Power  Hour webinar participants too. What did we learn? You said you get in your own way by:

  • Delaying reaching out to your sphere
  • Avoiding cold calling and generating leads
  • Postponing making videos and posting blogs
  • Saying “yes” when you want to say “no”
  • Overthinking and stopping in your tracks
  • Letting distractions keep you from what’s important

Is this you?

If so, welcome to the human race! We each limit ourselves and bump up against our personal glass ceiling, regardless of how successful we are. (Yes, even agents who are multi-millionaires hold themselves back from greater success.) It’s just part of being human.

The challenge is we get frustrated, upset, jealous…we derail ourselves from our goals…we tell ourselves we can’t do it or to tone down our enthusiasm… perhaps we even stop trying.

This Wednesday, 4/30, you’re invited to a webinar all about how to get out of your way. It's at 10:00 am pacific/1:00 pm eastern. You’ll learn:

  • Reasons why we get in our own way
  • A powerful strategy to overcome your resistance in the moment
  • Specific action steps to move into productivity

I would love for you to join me! Register for How to get out of your own way—and succeed.

See you Wednesday!

I think it is called procrastination. Maybe fear of rejection. Just have to get over it and keep moving forward.

Self limiting behavior is so prevalent in real estate and many other careers.  Our own self doubts can limit our income, which seems crazy, but it's true! Am already registered for the Webinar tomorrow.  Thanks!

I just recently attended one seminar.  Very informative with more than just one useful tip used immediately.  I have set up a separate folder for "Power Hour" notes.  Looking forward to "Getting out of 'my' own way" tomorrow.

Kris, we are all human and make human mistakes.  We say yes thinking we can make the time when we should really just say no and not create more stress for ourselves.  We do things that inhibit us from becoming more successful without even realizing it. If we take the time to realize these things, then we might have a chance to get around the road blocks we accidentally have set up for ourselves.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for your comments! It's great to hear from you.

Captain Wayne, Sheila and Kevin, thank you so much for your warm welcome. I'd heard the ActiveRain community was a very friendly, welcoming group, and everyone is right. Makes me excited to blog more.

Sarah, Diana, Jared, Amanda, Bill and John - welcome to the human race. :-) We sure do get in our own way, don't we?

I'm looking forward to seeing so many of you on the call! Like Kristi said, we will post a recording at learn.marketleader.com, so you will be able to find it there as well. See recently recorded Market Leader webinars.

See you tomorrow!

Kris~ I'm sure this was a great webinar. I'm constantly getting in my own way. I did find a personal solution thought. I finally hired a professional business coach. Now I'm setting goals (including goals outside of my comfort zone) to keep myself on track!
