Racist Slumlord Banned For Life
Just watched the news on ESPN that Donald Sterling, owner of the NBA basketball team the Clippers, described as a "racist slumlord" is banned for life from the NBA organization because of his racist remarks. In the investigation against Mr. Sterling it was found there have been many allegations against him involving racist remarks.
As I stated in my blog "Racial Discrimination Still Alive in Housing", with all the laws in place it is very hard to prove racism within housing but it is very much alive. Had it not been for the girlfriend of Mr. Sterling choosing to record her conversation with him, Mr. Sterling would never have been exposed to the world.
There were several lawsuits against him over the years because of his racism, but a man of his financial means, and obviously he is smart, (but not that smart) it is quite likely he could hire the best lawyers money could buy, and talk his way out of the allegations.
The problem is he never counted that the woman he cheated on his wife with, would be the one for his downfall. He should have read The Bible , Delilah was the downfall of Samson. This is a case of history repeating itself, the greatest men can be brought down by a cunning woman.
Again I say racism is still very much alive in housing and we need to stamp it out.
