In this real estate business we spend a lot of time in the car and we see places within our community that perhaps ordinarily we might not have a reason to even drive past.
This spring has brought many opportunities for showing homes and listing them too. While my main practice is around Liberty Township, OH and West Chester, OH it is interesting to me that all of the sudden this spring I have a lot of buyers and sellers calling me from the far corners of my service area. I don't mind at all. In fact, I would love to have more clients call me from other parts of the city. Why? Because it's far too easy to become entrenched in our everyday lives and it's easy to forget that there are lots of things happening in other parts of the city.
Recently, I had the opportunity to list several homes in Hamilton Twp, OH and even Morrow, OH which for Cincinnatians is quite a drive. I found myself looking at all that has changed in the area and even looked up where I would go to the library if I lived in this area. If we are going to service a client well, we need to learn to help not only sell the home but know the area and what the great features are there. In my quest to search out the closest library I met the librarian that creates the monthly newsletter and thus made a new friend. This reminded me of one of my children's favorite books by Dr. Suess when they were young, Oh, The Places You'll Go!
