Field of Honor - Memorial Day Vigil – May 23 – 26,2014
The Veterans Network Committee of Northern Illinois has put this event together to honor those who have made the largest sacrifice to their country while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan to protect our freedom. They paid the ultimate price for their country and their fellowman.
The Field of Honor is a tribute to over 300 Veterans who have lost their lives in the service of their country. Each flag in this field represents a Veteran that was lost from Illinois.
Every flag will have a tag on it with the Veterans name, Branch of Service, Rank, Hometown, Date of Death and Age.
