If you check search results often times you will find the big dogs....REALTOR.com, Homes.com, Yahoo.com, Zillow and Trulia/Activerain before you see any agent websites. I call them big dogs at least for real estate and they have one thing in common. Collaboration.
Most agents are on these sites including their bios, their own websites and especially their listings..when you do things collectively...there is plenty of room for success...more opportunity of exposure..and increase the odds of selling listings.
Years past I have always made predictions of the internet to myself..at times I would share and at the same time be laughed at..yet today we have touch screen and social media plays a huge role in marketing today. Yes, some laughed even on this network when I stated you can gain business from facebook by just being yourself.
I wish people really understood collaboration and the importance of it...today you need a lot of traffic in order to obtain a customer...and sometimes your site is not where its at....so how can we collaborate more?
Like people's posts on facebook, share on google +. Did you know the traffic on google + is through the roof? I have 1.8 million views so far..at one time it was my least favorite social network..and now its becoming my favorite!
Blog on others sites and link back to your own....
Companies such as RE/MAX and CENTURY 21 got it going on...often times you will find them high on search engines...they have created their own little networks....and although each office is independently owned and operated.... they collaborate...
It was brilliant that Trulia bought Activerain...Trulia and Activerain are benefiting so much...with the amount of traffic on both sites and our blog posts...we benefit too! It's great to be a star but if you want to be an all-star...don't fight this...don't complain because in reality we put these 3rd party sites on the map...instead collaborate!
Collaboration will be more important than ever! I'm no Miss Cleo but I see the writing on the wall!
