Does your voicemail message give something of value to your caller?

 

In the real estate profession we are always receiving phone calls from buyers and sellers. Voicemail is a terrific tool for those moments when you cannot answer the phone. With voicemail for a short period of time you capture the caller’s undivided attention. As real estate professionals are we making good use of this tool? What is the caller hearing?

    Is your voicemail standard and boring?

    If your voicemail message is standard and boring, here are some tips to make it better.

 

  • Welcome your caller with warmth and energy.

  • Offer something of value that defines who you are.

  • For personal attention offer a seasonal greeting.

  • Make your message memorable and change it often.

    “Hi this is Dee. So glad you called…. It is a very busy spring market but I always have time for you. Leave contact info and I will be happy to share my real estate advice.”
