Living on Lake Harding in Georgia is like being on vacation year round. Lake Harding is on the Chattahoochee River and runs between Harris County in GA and Lee County in AL. It is privately owned by GA Power, not the Corp of Engineers which means water levels typically stay the same. The water is lowered approximately every other year in the month of October for residents to maintain docks and sea walls. Lake Harding has more full time residents than any other Ga Power lake mainly due to the fact that it is 20 minutes south of La Grange and 20 minutes north of Columbus making the commute to work very easy.
