I'VE GOT GREAT FOR SALE SIGNS, BUT THEY ARE ALL IN MY GARAGE.

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it still make a sound?

If a realtor has great signs, and they are all in his garage, does he still have a business?

As I sit here at my little home in Naperville, my garage door is open.  I have my signs leaning against both sides of the garage.  I am hoping someone will drive by and see that I am a realtor and call off of them.  Sounds pretty desperate as I type it.

My signs are beautiful.  They are RE/MAX.  FOR SALE.  Nice balloon.  They have my smiling face on them.  In color.

But they are all in my garage...

OMG....this is delightful!!!  I actually went out and doubled the amount of signs I have because I listened to a Ra-Ra tape that said you need to outsign every other Realtor when doing Open Houses. Needless, to say,,,, all those extra signs are still in there boxes!!!! Glad to see, I have a Soul Mate out there...

Ken - Great post...you are too funny!  I've got the same problem....they're leaned up against the side of my barn. The neighbors used to stop by and ask me why I was selling my house.....lol  I like to think of it as being overly prepared...ready for anything...unfailingly optimistic....makes me feel better.

Hi Lenn.  Thanks for reading.  I have learned a lot from your posts.

Hi Pat.  You have to take them out of there boxes to do as well as mine.

Hi Courtney.  I got a laugh out of that!

Thanks all for reading,

Hi Cynthia.  You are right on the money.  I feel like I am out of business with no listings.  I sold my last one in January.  I feel people are scared to try to sell there houses right now.  I will keep on plugging.

Thanks for reading,

Ken

Need a place to put a sign?  Find a bank and beg for a bank owned property.  I used to list my own house, just to use a sign.  it actually worked!  Open houses for other people really gave me a boost.  I always met buyers that had a home to sell.
