One thing we don't seem to be teaching our students is how to cross the street.  Elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and (apparently) colleges have all missed out on this opportunity to educate folks at a young age that it's best to cross in a crosswalk at an intersection.  It might not always be the coolest thing to do, but following just a few simple rules might just keep you alive.

Another death under the watch of Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings and Orlando Police Chief John Mina.

French foreign exchange student struck, killed near UCF

A 22-year-old foreign exchange student from France was struck by a car and killed near the University of Central Florida early Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

State troopers said Geoffrey Pimpernelle was improperly crossing University Boulevard near Technological Avenue when he walked into the path of 22-year-old Catherine Jacqueline Eads’ Honda Civic.
