The housing market is heating up, more homes are being sold every day, so I was wondering if job seekers would be looking at careers in real estate as a prospective answer to their employment problem.

In the past, I might have had to do a bunch of research across the internet to find this type of information, but not anymore.

The knowledge that I have gained in building an internet marketing program to get homes sold has allowed me to use another way altogether in hunting down my answer.

Career In Real Estate Can Be Fulfilling

Before I address the fast and simple way I found my answer, I'd like to point out that the last three people who joined our Tallahassee real estate office all wrote their first transaction within the first 30 days. None of them had been licensed prior to joining our company, yet all plan on replacing highly successful careers in other industries.

If you have a sound work ethic, like to interact with people, and are not intimidated by computers and technology, I would recommend you explore becoming a real estate agent. The industry has changed, so even those of us with more than 20 years of experience are in a steep learning curve.

It's a great time to be new to the business, because you start out knowing you have a lot to learn, yet you are competing against many agents who think they already know enough. And clearly with the internet and technology, they are sadly mistaken.

Shocking Look At Job Seekers

So how did I rapidly assess the current demand for people seeking real estate careers? Simple. I used a keyword search tool that Google provides for free to help internet marketers determine current trends among information seekers. Take a look at this graph that shows the searches over time for "real estate careers"

I find it incredible that fewer people are searching for information about real estate careers now, even though the real estate market has been recovering strongly for more than a year.

Think about it, the real estate market is still lower today than at any time after 1991, so we know the general trend over the next five years is likely to be higher. We anticipate that more homes will need to be sold, thus a greater need for people to get licensed and started in this exciting and evolving industry.

If you want to know more about the benefits current agents enjoy in their real estate careers, just drop me a note and we can schedule a time to sit down and help you evaluate your potential for selling homes.
