Real Estate as a 9-5 Job?

                                 

                                                                   I recently picked up a buyer client who was having a time with her previous agent who would not work around her clients work schedule. For her that meant after 5pm and weekend showings.

What? No weekend or after 5pm showings? That is just craziness! I wish I could only work 9-5 and not have to worry about missing dinner with my family or my grandsons Saturday little league game.

Truth is, real estate is just not a 9-5 job. The majority of my showing are after 5pm and on the weekends. As the majority of my clients also work and do not have the option of just taking time off to go house hunting. Or they are moving into the area and can only view homes on the weekends.

It would be nice if everyone could work around my schedule but, it is just not realistic in this business. I feel sorry for the agent who refuses to accommodate her clients work schedule but on the other hand that meant more business for me. The clients are wonderful and easy to work with. I had them under contract in less than a week.

So, if you are looking to go out of business by only showing homes during the hours of 9-5, I'll be waiting for their call as I am a little more flexible with my schedule! Send'em on over!
