Wallingford Adopt-a-Wish Fundraiser Helps Fund a Local Child's Wish
As many of you may know, Pat is heavily involved with the Connecticut chapter of Make-A-Wish. In fact, she just finished up what is being called the biggest wish ever granted in the state, a Walk For Wishes event held at Bridgeport’s Beardsley Zoo, which was an overwhelming success.
The next event on her busy schedule is the Wallingford Adopt-A-Wish Wine Social Fundraiser at Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford. The purpose of the event is to raise money to be put towards granting the wish of a Wallingford child who is coping with a life-threatening illness. The average cost of granting a wish is about $10,000, and it has always been Pat’s dream to be able to get the residents of Wallingford together to help fund the wish of a Wallingford child. This event is almost sold out, and we are well on our way to meeting our fundraising goal!
The event will be held Wednesday evening from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at Gouveia Vineyards located at 1339 Whirlwind Hill Road in Wallingford. Tickets are $25 purchased in advance (no tickets will be sold at the door) and include one glass of wine and appetizers. There will be entertainment provided by Elizabeth Dellinger, food provided by several local restaurants, and we are proud to announce that we will have a huge amount of prizes that have been donated by local residents and businesses that will be auctioned off either by silent auction or tea cup auction.
