Never again will you hear or utter the words, “I’m bored,” after you’ve settled in your new home at 1060 World’s Fair Park. Quite the opposite. You won’t know where to start. With the Museum of Art as your neighbor, every other week will be a new discovery. And Valentine’s Day will forever change. You will have at your doorstep (literally), some of the world’s best chocolate. Since every day is a good day for chocolate covered cherries or white chocolate covered strawberries, your life just got a little better. Sit on your balcony and enjoy the sound of the waterfall and birds chirping in the morning from World’s Fair Park. If you close your eyes, you won’t be able to tell you aren’t in the wilderness. Until Boomsday, that is. Then, your balcony will become the envy of all the friends you never even knew you had.

If you love city life, like I do, there is no better property on the market right now. I don’t have to tell you what Downtown Knoxville has to offer, but just for fun, let’s name a few. Aside from being minutes from The University of Tennessee campus, from your new home at 1060 World’s Fair Park, you can take a leisurely stroll to Union Ave Books to pick up a copy of your favorite local author’s book or you can stop at The Tomato Head for some fresh, “gotta cook, don’t come out of a can” food. That’s just the beginning. There’s Dazzo’s Pizza, which I personally love. Their white pizza is tough to beat. Bliss in Market Square is the perfect place to buy furniture and accessories for your new place. After you’re all worn out from all the eating and shopping, head over to The Casual Pint for a beverage and good conversation. With a day like that, you would think you’ve exhausted all your options for fun, but you haven’t even scratched the surface. There are dozens more places to go and things to see.

And I haven’t even told you about the inside of 1060 World’s Fair Park. This two bedroom, two bath condo is in one of Knoxville’s most historic (and sweetest) buildings, the Candy Factory. If that’s not enough to get excited about, wait until you see the exposed beam ceilings and original features that add more than a little charm. This place has it all. Contemporary design with a rich history. The open floor plan makes it the perfect place to have a couple of friends over for a game of cards, to watch a movie, or just hang out on the balcony.  There is plenty of closet space and plenty of room to move around.

I like to ask the people who actually live in our “listings” (or the neighbors) a couple of questions to get to know the area or the property better. Here are a couple of questions I asked the resident at 1060 World’s Fair Park:

Q: What are some of your favorite features of the house?

A: I love the large bathtub in the ensuite bathroom. Also, the view is fantastic from the balcony.

Q: What's your fondest memory there?

A: My fondest memory is watching Boom's Day fireworks from the balcony. It's the perfect view.

Q: What's the best part about the neighborhood you live in?

A: The best part about the neighborhood is being so close to World's Fair Park. Having that as your back yard is pretty great.

Q: If you had to describe the house in one word, what would it be?

A: One word would be comfortable, but if I could add another word it would be convenient.

Q: What are some of the conveniences of living in the city?

A: The conveniences of living in the city are that I can walk to almost anything and I rarely ever use my car.

Q: If you had to describe your neighborhood in one word, what would it be?

A: A word for the neighborhood would be fun. The building is full of many different age groups and it's fun to see us all live in the city.

I couldn’t have said it better myself!
