How come so many agents don't call back?

The business of real estate is one of making deals.  Making a deal generally implies that there is more than one person involved.  It naturally follows that communication is imperative.  Then why is it that so many agents do not return a phone call, shoot a quick text, or respond to a short email?

Here in the Palm Springs Valley where I work, we have some super Star real estate agents, but we also have a large number of part-time agents, and some REALLY part-time agents.  Part-time or full-time, if you are in the real estate industry, it would seem to me that you would want to make deals!  Even if you don't have much to say, a quick word or message keeps the line of communication open.  Sometimes when I am running like mad, I can't return messages immediately.  But I make it a point to get back to people.

It's really not that hard, and it seems to me that this is the least our clients expect from us ... To keep them in the loop.  So when you're just too busy,  add my name to your "to do" list.. And just get back to me as soon as you can.
