What's the first thing you do every business morning?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Hamm Homes

My guess is you check your email, check your voicemail etc. etc.  I write my blog, after that I turn to what I call my POWERHOUR!  it is a hour that I use for prospecting, whether it is developing a postcard for buyers or sellers.

Since I am back on my own, I know everything sits on my shoulders to get business.  Yes, this has been a great year so far and I know my POWERHOUR has lots to do with the postive activity I have this year.

Everyone of us has varies way of prospecting but the key is you need to have a goal and have a heavy sense of doing something.  YOu need to be a GO-GETTER!!!!

Do you have a POWERHOUR daily?  Are you a GO-GETTER?  What do you do daily to reach out and touch someone?

Will, how you start the day sets the tone for the day.

I check emails, news, and blog, that is 6:30-7:30am.

Breakfast, prayer and read the Bible.

Now I'm set for a power filled day.

Good morning Will,

I came over from Kathy's post this morning from her "Ah-ha" moments and glad I did. I time block which is my saving grace in this business. Having systems in place to facilitate a number of touches monthly to past clients and sphere has really made a difference in my business and market share. Glad to hear you have a system it makes all the difference in the world.

The first thing I do every morning is sit down for 30 minutes and read a business book.  It sets the path for the rest of the day.

The very first thing I do every day is to send a card to my past clients or people within my SOI.  This is a great way to build your business and stay in touch in a unique way.  Building Referrals One Card at a Time

Will -  I am glad Kathy highlighted you because  you have given a powerful message.  I love the power hour.  I think that getting the most important things done first thing is crucial.  I consider the most important things those that have the greatest impact on my business.  For me they would be similar to your list.

Will: you are correct. We all seem to have a morning routine. Often the key to fine tuning for success is to have an unbiased party review our activity to see if greater efficiency and return can be gleaned. I am just as guilty, but fortunately, my partner, Sandy keeps me in line.

Agree that setting goals/making checklists and sticking to them is critical. Personally, I first need my coffee in the morning and some kind of work-out - tennis, weights, stretching or yoga, to get the day started.

Will, the first thing I do is check my traps. Basically  checking my email to see how many new sign ups I have or see if someone has any questions.
