Services for Real Estate Pros with Keller Williams Realty

When I decided to expand my real estate assistant services to agents other than those in my immediate office, I didn't know that I would be entering an "industry" of virtual agents with certifications, designations, and everything else you can imagine that has a $ sign attached to it!

There is one website that claims they started the moniker, Virtual Assistant, and they want to train you, virtually, to be one in 250 hours.  This training will present you with a Certified Virtual Assistant certificate and then you can sign up for 250 additional hours and receive a Certified Master Virtual Assistant certificate!  Wow!  I wouldn't even know what to do with one of those!  I have no idea what most of these certificates cost because you must sign up first, give your credit card info and, after all of that headache, they let you know the bucks it will cost you!

When I contacted someone at NAR regarding the "rules" for virtual assistants, I was told that it is "refreshing" to take the classes!  Refreshing to take classes in programs I use every day?  Don't think so!  While she was telling me how refreshed she feels, I was looking for the delete button!

I also contacted another website that advertises their uniqueness.  I asked what makes them unique and the answer was that it is the approach they take to the programs.  HELLO!  Does this mean they start at the end and go to the start or they sneak up on them, or what?

Then there is the website that doesn't claim to have originated the term Virtual Assistant, but they are here to train you in all that you need to know for only $19.95!

Some have chosen to materialize on this real occupation.  I, for one, will not bite and will probably lose out on some business because I don't have a designation behind my name.

I have degrees in English and business; have written several articles on various topics; have been "in the business of real estate" as a broker, agent, and currently as an assistant; have a desire to promote real estate in general as a viable occupation.
