Movie Monday at DCRG / David Johnson

Happy Monday!  The older I get, the faster the weeks are passing.  I can’t believe it is Monday again.  So that means it’s movie Monday at the Dakota Carson Realty Group.  So let’s jump in.

I have put it off long enough; today’s review is on…..drum roll please…..FROZEN!

Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey-teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven-to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

Tasty Tuesday at DCRG serves up Settler Beans in time for summer

Spring has arrived and summer is just around the corner so it’s time to fire up the grills and start enjoying time on the patio.  Hamburgers, brats, ribs along with salads and baked beans are usually on the menu.  A dear friend of mine’s mother always brings settlers’ beans to our cookouts and they are to die for!  One day I got the nerve up to ask if she would be willing to share the recipe and she was gracious and passed it along.  Her and her husband are preachers at a church in Ava, Missouri and they are always having church dinners.  You know how yummy the food is a church dinners!  This recipe is one of those dishes she prepares for such ocassions.  Here ya go!

Mrs. Alcorns’ Settler Beans

1/2 lb to 1 lb hamburger browned along with onion

1/2 lb bacon browned and crumbled

1 can kidney bean with juice
