Spring has arrived and summer is just around the corner so it’s time to fire up the grills and start enjoying time on the patio. Hamburgers, brats, ribs along with salads and baked beans are usually on the menu. A dear friend of mine’s mother always brings settlers’ beans to our cookouts and they are to die for! One day I got the nerve up to ask if she would be willing to share the recipe and she was gracious and passed it along. Her and her husband are preachers at a church in Ava, Missouri and they are always having church dinners. You know how yummy the food is a church dinners! This recipe is one of those dishes she prepares for such ocassions. Here ya go!
Mrs. Alcorns’ Settler Beans
