Free Library Events to Enjoy at the Wynnefield Branch Library

Libraries have always been more than just books, but often times it’s easy to forget how actually much more is available. There are some very interesting events still left in May at the Wynnefield branch library. Best of all, all of these library events are free!

  • For the kids, there are two upcoming events in May. The first is a presentation of the Royal Stick Puppets on May 20th. The show is one of the Year of the Bard (Shakespeare at 450) events. This event starts at 4 p.m. and will feature puppet skits from many of Shakespeare’s famous plays.

  • On May 29, kids and their caregivers can listen to good stories, as well as engage in fun activities and song during the Preschool Storytime, starting at 10:30 a.m.

  • For the adults, on May 24th, starting at 1 p.m., is the meeting of the Crochet Club. Beginner or expert, this event is a great opportunity to learn, have fun, and just be around like-minded stitchers! Just be sure to bring all your own supplies.

  • The Wynnefield branch library is located at 5325 Overbrook Avenue at the east edge of St. Joseph’s University by Sweeny Field.
