Classic Case of 'Do as I say, Not as I do......'
Yesterday, it was reported in the Herald- Tribune (http://goo.gl/8g7zBI) that the long time FSBO chief executive of BUYOwner.com, Al Bennati, hired a Coldwell Banker REALTOR®, Donna Miller, to sell his $3.78 million dollar estate in Florida.

He is quoted as saying, "To sell a home of this magnitude, it needs to be done by a person and a company that reaches buyers of this caliber. Selling upper-end homes like mine was never the market for BuyOwner."
Roughly translated, to me, that means that since his home is so much better than yours or mine, it needs the expertise, experience and care that only a REALTOR® can give.
But I beg to differ with Mr. Bennati. Each person's castle, no matter the value, deserves the same attention and protection.
Again, no matter the value, each home represents the same hard struggle, the same financial concerns, the same shelter, and the same harbor of memories.
Please do not misunderstand. I'm glad that Mr. Bennati hired a professional. I'm glad that he realizes the importance of using a REALTOR®. I just wish that on his website he would let others know of the choice he made in the sale of his home. And tell them that perhaps they may want to consult a REALTOR® too.
Is that too much to ask?
