Return calls after the showing!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Something that is very frustrating for me is when an agent will call you about your listing, calls again to set up appt. for showing, calls again to confirm showing, calls again to get directions (which they should already know) and then doesn't call when you ask them to let you know how the showing went! This seems to be happening with other agents recently. Isn't it just common courtesy and respect to call the listing agent afterwards?

try emailing the agent for feedback, it may be easier for them to respond, and you have tangible 3rd party feedback to show a seller

I'm with the others-email is a great way to follow up-you can include a photo and description of the house to help jog memories, when they've been out showing multiple properties they can forget which one was yours!  We email three consecutive days after showing and also call on each of those days.  At that point, if no feedback, we give up.  And the sellers know that we're doing as much as we can to get something out of the showing agents.  And well, if we hear nothing back?  Then that IS their feedback. =)

I just emailed the agent who showed my listing today. When I do get responses by email that is a great way of giving the seller feedback. Thank you again!

Susan:  It is really hard for a buyer's agent in our market to play follow up calls for feedback. I  would be receptive to doing it through email.  Problem is:  agent's here don't seem to care for honest feedback so I just say "what's the point"
