Hi Debbie - Drive-ins are cool, and Fort Collins has one too. I don't know of any others in Colorado, but ti sure is a great way to spend a summer evening.
Me, too, Belinda. I have been to a few shows with my daughter, too. She still likes to go, but has outgrown me in favor of her friends.
I didn't know Fort Collins had one, Dick. That is awesome. Maybe the drive ins are special to Colorado.
Ah the good days of drive in movies Debbie. Gone but not forgotten in my mind and this area Debbie. Thanks for reminding me of my youth.
Thanks of telling us about the Star Drive-In. This blog will bring back memories for many readers.
Hi Debbie,
What a great drive in in Montrose CO!! Sure brings back a flood of memories!!
Wow, we should all personally thank the DeVries family for keeping such a wonderful place open in Montrose, Debbie Laity. How fun!!
Now, there's a throwback to the days before I was born! That it a very neat relic to have right there in Montrose, Debbie Laity! Thanks for the great photos, too!
I have always loved the old-fashioned drive-in. You could watch from your car, or a blanket. You could watch from the swing set or the concession stand. What a fun way to play with your family and friends and see a fun oooooor scary movie, too!
I am so glad that you still have this Star Drive In in Montrose to enjoy, Debbie Laity!
Debbie~ I really miss going to the drive-in. We had one nearby when we first moved to Colorado, but it was torn down and apartments were put up. It's a shame!
Debbie, It is so rare to see a drive in theater these days. Boy I had some great fun at those growing up!
