Downers Grove has been named by Liveability.com as number two out of their top ten places to raise a family in 2014. The national web site ranks quality of life such as schools, parks, play grounds, library services in addition to low crime rates and child mortality rates.
Downers Grove was chosen for its highly rated schools and less than a quarter of the national average crime rate. The village's 600 acres of parks and green space add to creating a healthy, family friendly enviornment.
