Night Photography Workshop to Highlight Meteor Storm

Night Photography workshop to highlight meteor storm.  I have traveled to Moab, Utah to participate in a 3 day/night Workshop which will encompass shooting stars and meteors in an amzing setting.  With the expectation of a great meteor storm provided by the Camelopardalids, the Moab area (Arches and Canyonlands) tonight, we hope to be able to capture some amazing images.

I have very little experience shooting stars though I did get my feet wet when I was at Bryce National Park last year.  Mike Berenson, Colorado Captures, is teaching the workshop and his night photography is absolutely amazing so I hope to learn a great deal over the next few days.....here is hoping for clear skies!

As I traveled to Moab, I did manage to stop and take a few photos. I hope you enjoy them.

This blooming cactus caught my attention.

The desert was filled with blooming flowers.

What a wonderful opportunity the workshop has to be!  You also mention Bryce in your post.  I traveled to Utah in 2010.  Of the 3 national parks along highway 12 (Capital Reef, Zion and Bryce), Bryce is my favorite.

The workshop was amazing….the weather less so….we had to work around some nasty rain and I am still thrilled with some of my images. I won't be able to post many right now as I am preparing to leave for a photo workshop in Europe…..timing isn't good as I signed up for the night photography workshop over 8 months ago and my upcoming trip was a last minute opportunity. I will post a couple of images from Moab….the rest will wait until I return!

Thanks for sharing more of your photos. The wagon is interesting. I wonder what the story of that wagon is?
