Map of Oahu Hawaii NeighborhoodsSEARCH SITES THAT UNDERSTAND HOW TO SEARCH FOR A HOME IN HAWAII Those Mainland Web Sites just don’t get Hawaii or how to find your Home here. What’s the difference from looking on websites for properties for sale in California or New York and looking for a home in Hawaii?

Number one – we have vastly different islands instead of cities, counties or divisions within the state. Number two – even though the Island of Oahu has several cities, our big search areas are neighborhoods. Areas for searches here can vary greatly within neighborhoods…for example there is Kailua, one neighborhood would be Coconut Grove and one would be Lanikai, vastly different although they are in the same town. On one side of Lanikai you have ocean front homes and homes with no frontage or views a home away from the beach and on the other homes that run up the hillside with great ocean views. One side of Coconut Grove has upgraded homes and small quaint beach cottages and lower Coconut Grove has low rise apartments and older homes needing upgrades.

The second step to finding a home in Hawaii (after getting pre-approved) is to get to know the neighborhoods in which you want to live.
