Customer Management Systems and Database Issues

I'm currently working on an article about managing your client list, including both short-term and long-term prospects - specifically, what is the best database for real estate agents?

I'm amazed at the number of choices out there!  I'd love to hear from you - what are you using, how is it going, how many names are you managing, what kind of information are you sending out?

Here's a link to an article that you might find helpful: Ten Ways to Follow up Seven Times, located at RIS Media's web site via this link - http://rismedia.com/wp/2007-04-06/ten-ways-to-follow-up-seven-times/

I have been a rebel and refused to use database management programs. Maybe because I hated programming databases back in my IT days, however I really think it would shave some time off my schedule and help me stay in front of my clients more if I used it. Now I just dont know which way to turn with who has the best software.

Thank you for the link.  I will check back for comments because I am interested in finding out what contact systems others are using.  I am thinking of adding one to my business at some point this year.
