Milwaukee Memorial Day Parade: The parade begins at N. 4th St. and W. Wisconsin Ave. at 2 p.m., heading east to the War Memorial Center, 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive. This year's parade honors in particular Vietnam veterans, especially former prisoners of war and those missing in action.

Calvary Cemetery: Memorial Day service at the cemetery, 5503 W. Blue Mound Road, includes outdoor Mass starting at 10 a.m. Also in the Civil War-themed program: a Civil War cannon salute from Cushing's Battery; a keynote speech by Wayne Jensen, former state commander of the American Legion; and music by the Regimental Volunteer Band of Wisconsin.

(Note: Memorial Day Masses also will be held at several other Catholic cemeteries in southeast Wisconsin; for info, go to cemeteries.org.)

Also on the program: Annunciation Greek Orthodox Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m., and musical tributes starting at noon, both in the Chapel of the Chimes.

Arlington Park Cemetery: The annual Memorial Day Veterans' Tribute begins at 10 a.m. in Arlington Park Cemetery, 4141 S. 27th St., Greenfield, with a parade to the American Legion section, followed by a ceremony including the dedication of the wreath, patriotic music and roll call of veterans buried in the cemetery. Keynote speaker is Vietnam veteran George F. Banda of the 101st Airborne.
