It was one of those days! I was at the office and I had a before lunch appointment with a client that I had to postpone because my duty agent was out of the office on an appointment. I finally got to my appointment and a summer thunderstorm rolled in and that was the end of the outdoor video and photo taking for the day. I'll try again tomorrow. Oh and did I mention I left my windows open when I was insider her house and that it poured rain inside my car?
I posted a new listing (with the price) we got over the weekend on Facebook on my Business page and questions followed:
- What's the price? (okay I didn't mind repeating myself)
- Would we take cash? (Sure)
- Would the seller take a trade for $485,000 worth of mulberries? (Nope, not making it up)
No, I'm really not making it up, check out my Facebook business page Lane Realty on Lake Sinclair for yourself. You'll love my answer to the Mulberry question.
Then there was helping my friend activate her two new cell phones. Oh yes, dialing that 800# and getting first someone who we couldn't understand, then the Spanish speaking department (that wasn't the transfer we wanted), they transferred us to the billing department. (umm, we would need service before have a bill), finally after more than hour the phones both work. I was begining to feel like my cousin when she wanted cake and got a hotdog instead after sitting before the cake drooling for an hour.
Ah the water department was next. We have two foreclosures owned by two different banks with the same water company. We get two bills. We write two checks. We get re-imbursed by each bank. Simple right? Well it is until the water company credits the wrong check to the wrong account (yes, we mailed the little stub from the right account with the check) But after another hour my REO agent spent on the phone, we "MIGHT" have it resolved. We'll have to wait and see if the follow through happens and corrected bills are mailed.
When I heard the click when I closed the office door behind me I looked down in my hand and instead of my keys, was my office phone. (sigh). I guess it could have been worse. I could have locked myself out of the office with NO keys and NO phone. My sweet Donald came to my rescue and let me in to get my keys. I went and got take out the rest is history. Now back to my favorite spot on the sofa.
I'm blessed. Donald did laundry today too. And I just laughed at all the weird and crazy stuff that happened. I'm ready for what ever happens tomorrow. BRING. IT. ON.
