A Camera's Point of View

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

I see you are selling your house. I am not here to judge as I am only a simple camera. I am here only to capture a moment in time.  But I did have a few observations:

As I focus in I noticed the grass is a bit high, and those are some tall weeds growing in front of your house.  Going for that natural look I see.

The oil stain on the driveway is quite large.  Kind of looks like Mickey Mouse.  I really like Mickey Mouse.

The paint peeling on the shutters really gives the house a nice rustic look.

Inside I immediately know this must be the family room.  I see that stack of magazines, the video game controllers, and the kids cereal bowl on the coffee table.  Good to see such a close knit family congregating in one room.

Last nights dinner must have been great. I noticed the spaghetti stained plates in the sink.

Teenagers really hate making their beds don’t they?  They are always so busy.

The Lady of the house must be beautiful.  Look at all of those cosmetic products on the bathroom counter.

I see the Man of the house is a really hard worker.  He has so many of his dirty work clothes stacked on the floor.

Oh and whats that smell?  Oh I see. 2 dogs and 2 cats.  Boy do I love animals.

Preparing your house for sale and or pictures?  Perhaps these things are common in everyday life, but when preparing a house for sale please remember to clean up, spruce up, and deodorize.  A camera doesn’t judge but potential buyers do.

Ha! Love your humor Arbie! On a serious note, cameras really DO view the house much differently than the buyers. I always tell clients, we need to de-clutter MUCH more for photos than for showings. Photos show everything!!

Arbie,  the camera does capture things that sellers may not be aware of, and hopefully sellers will heed the advise of their real estate professionals to address such issues before putting their home on the market.

Thanks Sharon, Bruce, and Colleen its very important to remind and or give your clients a checklist of items to spruce up before taking pictures, and or prenting your home to potential buyers.
