Rainy Day Peony
We have a chilly and rainy day in Maryland. The Peonies are blooming in our Kentlands home garden but the weight of the rain water can cause the blooms to droop if the flowers are not supported. They do require additional attention in this weather.
An alternative is to do some cutting for an arrangement. Enjoy the colors of the season with your camera in hand.

Rain: We just had a pretty bad storm that is probably headed your way...my plants and flowers definitely perked up after the rain.
The beautiful peonies are in full bloom in our garden as well... I love cutting them and bringing them into the house... They are so pretty...

Thanks for the Peony. I had a beautiful Pink Peony Bush that I started from a few cut branches and successfully rooted when I lived in IL. They don't grow in my TX garden and I do miss them. They are truly magnificent and you're right, rain does do them in with a heavy rain.
