In a recent series of posts on HomeownersInsurance.com, the top cities in the country for green commuting are being featured and celebrated.
With more and more people moving towards sustainable lifestyles, these cities are the most friendly for people who choose to "green commute".
The rankings are based on the percentage of commuters who bike, walk, carpool or take public transportation to work in mid-sized cities in each region.

Minneapolis tops the list with 32.5% of commuters taking a green transportation method to work regularly. Madison, Cleveland, Milwaukee and Dayton all took spots in the top 5 as well.
In the second report released this work, northeastern cities were assessed.
