How to Print A Copy of My Texas Real Estate License

I was cleaning up the copy room and noticed that several licenses on the wall were torn or faded. I decided to go online and print a new copy of mine.

After combing the TREC website for what seemed like FOREVER, I finally broke down and called TREC and waited on hold for 20 minutes to find out HOW to Print a Copy of My Texas Real Estate License.

So here's how you do it!

Step 1: Go to www.trec.state.tx.us

Step 2: Click on My License Online Services

Joni, you think they would make it a little more simple, but why would I think that anything having to do with license would ever be simple :)

Hey Joni,  I had to do this long ago.  Don't you just hate changes?  I do.

Dorie: HA! I figured someone would appreciate it after they try for an hour to figure it out and google it to no avail! :)

Anita: This is one of those pay it forward posts.

Rob: That's exactly why I did it.

George: You would think it would be in the FAQ section. I asked if they received a lot of calls for this and the person on the phone said, "YES!" So I decided someone should blog about it. That someone would be me. HA! Who knows... I may need to print one again, and at least I will be able to figure it out!

Ricki: I didn't have any changes, just wanted a fresh copy instead of the old, ugly, torn one that was there. Personally, I think it should be in our account somewhere so we can print it anytime we need it and not have to ask someone there to email us a copy. smh....

I just renewed my broker license and had to look up this old blog post to remember how to get a copy of my renewed license. You would think TREC would automatically email you a copy when you paid. Nope. It takes them 24-48 hours to send you the PDF file after it is requested. Wow.

I tried this and am getting some other PDF about renewing my license. I just got my license and would like a copy. Is this only for agents that have a sponsoring broker? I'm inactive for now but still would very much like to hold the very thing I've worked so hard for.
