Saturday Subscriber Finds #54
I really enjoy doing this series with a theme. Today's theme is Members from Colorado. We have many great members from this state. I could spend a year talking about all of them. I picked today's members, because two of them I have met in person and one of them I feel like I know.
John G. Johnston makes a great blogging weatherman. His daily series on The Weather in Westcliffe, CO is true genius. What a great way to get a post in everyday and not have to think of a subject. My hat is off to you, John, for thinking of that. John works exclusively as a buyer's agent. This really works for him. His second job, as one of the owners of the Courtyard Country Inn, also keeps him busy. Right now he's gearing up for a busy summer season. I have met John and his wife, Mo, and stayed at the bed and breakfast. It was a planned winter meetup for Colorado members. I had a fabulous time, and can't wait to visit John and Mo again. When in Westcliffe, CO, make sure you make plans to stay at the Courtyard Country Inn and have a visit with its two charming hosts.
I have also met Erin Bates. It was at that winter meet up in Westcliffe. First of all, Erin deserves a big virtual high five. She recently passed her CO Real Estate Licensing Exam. Way to go, Erin. Erin has such a positive energy around her. She is so easy to get to know. She works for Aspen Lane Real Estate in Aurora, CO. She has a lot of marketing experience that she puts to work for the owner, Belinda Spillman. By the way in case you didn't know...Belinda is Erin's mom. Erin has been in the real estate, mortgage and servicing industry since 2002. She is no stranger to the real estate business. When she isn't working, Erin loves to spend time outdoors with her boyfriend, Dom.

Where the heck is Red Feather Lakes, CO? Is it even on the map? Well map quest couldn't find it. I know. I checked. I happen to know where it is, but that's only by sheer luck. That's where member Mary Douglas lives, and she would be happy to give you directions if you just give her a call. Mary has over 36 years experience in the real estate field. She's currently a broker with United Country Ponderosa Realty. Before that she worked in the title insurance industry for over 30 years. Mary has a true passion for small town living. She also takes great pictures of her area. Like any broker in a small, rural area...she has to be the local expert on all types of property. She sells vacant land, ranches, cabins and beautiful mountain homes. I haven't met Mary yet, but I hope we get a chance to meet up soon. We have a lot in common with both of us working in extremely rural real estate markets and our love for small town living.
