It's Strawberry season in Howard County, MD! Oh red, juicy sweetness!
When I checked the pick-your-own strawberries status for the Gorman Farm in Laurel, MD this morning, I was super excited: Excellent picking fields of ripe berries! it announced and off we went.
The Gorman farmers were not exaggerating. We found a few rows with ripe strawberries and filled our buckets in no time. My girls munched on a few and had a hard time leaving the farm ... Just one more mommy! Oh, look, this one is perfect! Here's another red, juicy one!
If you didn't make it out to Gorman Farm today, don't worry, the season is expected to last a few weeks. Check their website or Facebook the day you want to go, or even better, within the hour as the farm will close if they get picked out.

Another Howard County farm where you can pick your own strawberries is Larriland. According to their website strawberry picking today was scattered but the season is expected to run though late June. Call 410-442-2605 or 301-854-6110 for an update right before you want to head to the farm.
The TLV Tree Farm in Glenelg, MD also offers pick-your-own strawberries but I didn't see an announcement on their website. You can call 410-489-4460 to find out.
